Flu Clinics Have Started !
Each year significant planning goes into preparing for our flu vaccination campaign and this year is no exception following the pandemic.
There is no need to call the surgery, we will be contacting those patients eligible for the flu immunisations by text message inviting them to specific clinics at the surgery. For those people we are unable to contact this way, we will attempt to contact them on their landline or will send a notification by letter.
Please note that when attending the surgery, face coverings MUST be worn and social distancing is still advised.
We have recently become a Veteran Friendly Practice - find out more about our services for Veterans on our Services Tab.

Make the Right Decision About Your Care
For patients concerned that they may have coronavirus or may have come into contact with someone who has, the NHS 111 online service has created coronavirus pages that tell patients what they should do based on their particular circumstances. These can be accessed at: https://111.nhs.uk/service/covid-19
Please remember that coronavirus is not over. For more guidance about the current restrictions visit manchester.gov.uk/coronavirus.
Covid vaccination exemptions - Individuals in scope of the regulations, who believe they are exempt from the requirement to be vaccinated should apply for a formal COVID-19 medical exemption to comply with the regulations. This can be done by ringing 119. You should not ask your GP for an application form. If you do go to your GP before you get your application form, you’ll be asked to call the NHS COVID Pass service on 119 and request a NHS COVID Pass medical exemption application form. The possible reasons for exemptions are limited. Your application will be clinically reviewed by a doctor or specialist clinician and you will automatically get the results of your application by post 2 to 3 weeks after you apply.
NHS APP and Covid Passport
The NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet or laptop. You can download the free app from the Apple or Android app stores and follow the simple on-screen instructions to set it up. You will not need to visit the practice to set up your app.
You can use the app to book and manage GP appointments, order repeat prescriptions, check your symptoms and register to be an organ donor.
From 17 May 2021 you will also be able to access your COVID-19 vaccination status through the app. It is recommended that you register with the app before booking international travel.
Do not contact your GP surgery about your COVID-19 vaccination status. We cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.
If you are unable to access the NHS app but would like confirmation of your vaccination status you can call the NHS helpline on 119 and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine, the letter may to take up to 5 days to reach you.

Domestic Abuse help and support
We know that if you are currently experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse you might be worried about self-isolating with someone who is harming you.
If you know a family member or friend who is living with domestic abuse, self-isolation may mean they are spending more time with an abusive partner and will not be able to access their usual means of support.
It’s important to know that you and they are not alone and we can all look out for the most vulnerable people in our communities and remain vigilant. If you are in immediate danger, or you suspect someone is in immediate danger please call 999 and ask for the police.
